Liebe Lotus-Freunde und Freundinnen,

der Countdown zum „75. LOTUS Jubiläum“, hat soeben begonnen. Wir Ihr sicherlich schon in den letzten Monaten gelesen habt, finden in diesem Jahr sehr viele LOTUS-Jubiläen in Europa statt.

In Zusammenarbeit mit einigen LOTUS-Clubs feiern auch wir ein außergewöhnliches LOTUS-Fest.
Den „Lotus Day Sinsheim“ am 29. Juli diesen Jahres im Auto und Technik Museum Sinsheim.

Außerdem ist es mir eine große Freude euch mitteilen zu können, dass in diesem Jahr zudem die „100 Jahre Le Mans Ausstellung“ in Sinsheim stattfindet.

Also für alle Teilnehmer, die in diesem Jahr zum LOTUS-Treffen nach Sinsheim kommen, gibt es diese außergewöhnliche Ausstellung in Halle 3 zu erleben. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird sicherlich der LOTUS Evora GTE Le Mans von Professor Wolfgang Henseler, der 2011 am 24h Rennen von Le Mans teilnahm und der bei dieser Ausstellung zu sehen sein.

Ich habe mir für alle LOTUS-Teilnehmer wieder ein buntes Programm zu dieser Veranstaltung in Sinsheim überlegt. Neben dem Besuch der Le Mans Ausstellung im Sinsheimer Museum, gibt es noch eine Preisverleihung mit Pokalen, T- Shirts, Mittagessen und vielem mehr.

Am späten Nachmittag ist außerdem noch eine kleine Ausfahrt zum Hotel Vorfelder nach Walldorf geplant.

Hier schon einmal der Programmablauf für unser LOTUS-Treffen am  29. Juli 2023 für alle Teilnehmer:

  • 10:00 Uhr: Eintreffen der LOTUS-Teilnehmer am Sinsheimer Museum im Club Areal Parkplatz P1
  • 10.30 Uhr: Begrüßung aller Teilnehmer, mit Ausgabe der Eintrittstickets und einen Gutschein für ein Mittagessen, sowie die Übergabe für jeden Teilnehmer eines LOTUS-T-Shirts.
  • 11.00 Uhr: Besuch des Museums Sinsheim, mit Sonderführung der „100 Jahre Le Mans Ausstellung“
  • Anschließend steht die Zeit für jeden TeilnehmerIn zur eigenen Verfügung.
  • 16:00 Uhr: Siegerehrung für die LOTUS-Teilnehmer, Pokal, Preisverleihung.
  • 17:00 Uhr. Verabschiedung aller LOTUS-Teilnehmer mit (wer möchte) einer kleinen Ausfahrt zum Hotel Vorfelder nach Walldorf oder individuelle Rückfahrt.

Folgende Lotus-Teilnehmer werden einen Preis erhalten:

  1. Die weiteste Anreise im LOTUS
  2. Der älteste LOTUS
  3. Der schönste restaurierte LOTUS historisch
  4. Der schönste älteste LOTUS in Originalzustand
  5. Der außergewöhnlichste LOTUS neue Generation
  6. Der außergewöhnlichste JPS LOTUS

Ich möchte schon jetzt darauf hinweisen, dass eine Anmeldung vor Ort nicht möglich sein wird, da wir für alle Teilnehmer im Restaurant, sowie die T- Shirts vorher reservieren müssen.

Ich bitte deshalb dringend, den Anmeldeschluss spätestens 1. Juli 2023 zu berücksichtigen!

Dear Lotus friends,

The countdown to the “75th LOTUS anniversary” has just begun. As you have certainly read in the last few months, there are many LOTUS events and initiatives taking place in Europe this year.

In cooperation with some well-known LOTUS clubs, we are also celebrating an extraordinary LOTUS festival. The “Lotus Day Sinsheim” on 29th of July this year at the “Auto und Technik Museum” in Sinsheim.

It is also a great pleasure for me to inform you that the “One Hundred Years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans” Exhibition will also take place in Sinsheim this year.

So for all participants who will come to the LOTUS festival in Sinsheim this year, there is this extraordinary exhibition to experience in Hall 3. Professor Wolfgang Henseler’s LOTUS Evora GTE “Le Mans” which took part in the 24h race of Le Mans in 2011 and which will be on display at this exhibition, will certainly be a special highlight.

I have planned a full exciting programme for all LOTUS participants for this event in Sinsheim. In addition to a visit to the Le Mans exhibition in the Sinsheim Museum, there will also be an award ceremony with trophies, T-shirts, lunch and much more.

In the late afternoon, a short trip to Hotel Vorfelder in Walldorf is also planned.

Here is the programme for all participants of our LOTUS meeting on 29 July 2023:

  • 10:00 a.m.: Arrival of the LOTUS participants in the Club Area (Parking Lot P1) at Sinsheim Museum.
  • 10.30 a.m.: The participants are welcomed. Entry tickets and a voucher for lunch are distributed, as well as the handing over of a LOTUS T-shirt for each participant.
  • 11.00 a.m.: Visit to the Sinsheim Museum, with a special guided tour of the “100 Years of Le Mans Exhibition”. Afterwards, each participant will have time at their own disposal.
  • 4:00 p.m.: Award ceremony for the LOTUS participants, trophy, award ceremony.
  • 5:00 p.m.: Farewell to all the LOTUS participants. If you wish to participate, there will be a short trip to Hotel Vorfelder in Walldorf

The following Lotus participants will receive a prize:

  1. The furthest journey in a LOTUS
  2. The oldest LOTUS
  3. The most beautiful restored historic LOTUS
  4. The most beautiful oldest LOTUS in original condition
  5. The most extraordinary LOTUS of the new generation
  6. The most extraordinary JPS LOTUS

I would like to point out that it will not be possible to register on site, as we have to reserve the T-shirts and the restaurant for all participants in advance.

I therefore urge you to consider the registration deadline of 1 July 2023 at the latest!
